The American Institute of Architects has recognized the undulating new edge building at Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens with the 2020 Architecture Award, which celebrates the best of contemporary design.
Clad in glass and cantilevering out on the city side, with terracotta terraces stepping back on the garden side, the new building is both a portal to the fanciful world of Tivoli and a mirror amplifying the very real and vivid life of Copenhagen, allowing the two worlds to touch and overlay.
