Michael D. Flynn FAIA

One of the world’s leading authorities on curtain wall design and technology, Michael D. Flynn has been principally responsible for oversight of many—and since 1989, all—of the firm’s building enclosures, comprising more than a hundred executed projects around the world.

Mike directs an in-house team of professionals who carry facade design and detailing from concept to completion for the firm’s building projects. Under his leadership, PCF&P has secured its reputation for delivering a wide array of sophisticated and well-crafted building enclosures. The firm’s special capabilities include designing innovative double-skin facades, resolving complex building geometries, and addressing the unique challenges of facade replacement.

Mike contributes regularly to the development of codes and standards related to curtain wall design and has lectured widely on the subject, both in the United States and abroad. He has held teaching positions at the University of Illinois, Cornell, and Harvard and has served on numerous advisory boards, including the Glass Research and Testing Laboratory at Texas Tech University, the Canadian General Standards Board, and the New York City Building Code Seismic Design Overview Sub-Committee.
