As a keynote speaker at NYC School Construction Authority’s design excellence forum, partner Michael Bischoff shared his vision for the St. John Villa Campus — SCA’s largest project to date.
The design reimagines an aging academic enclave on Staten Island’s northeast shore as a vibrant home for four new public schools and an athletic field. The project, slated for completion in 2030, includes adaptive reuse of the historic chapel as a community learning center, set atop a landscaped knoll with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor.
The day-long event, held at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, brought together design professionals, industry partners, and SCA leadership, including Thierry Paret, SCA’s VP of architecture and engineering, and Jean-Claude Brizard, president and CEO of Digital Promise.
